Terms of Service

By making a MachiSpot account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
MachiSpot is run by Michael, based in Ontario, Canada. Contact: hello@machispot.com.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
One person, one account. Do not use somebody else's account or let somebody else use yours.
Your content
The places, notes, titles, collections and routes you create are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. We store and display them only to run the app for you and to show them to the people you have chosen to share them with.
You are responsible for what you write and share.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, or targeting anyone.
- Sexual content involving minors, or anything illegal.
- Spam, scams, impersonating somebody else, or mass-following to advertise.
- Sharing somebody's home or private location without their consent.
- Breaking into, scraping, overloading or reverse-engineering the service.
- Using MachiSpot to break any law where you are.
We can suspend or delete an account that does these things, without notice. Reports are read by a person.
Blocking and reporting
You can block anybody, which hides you from each other completely. You can report a person or a place from inside the app. We do not tell somebody they have been blocked or reported.
Third-party services
MachiSpot shows place information from Google Maps Platform and opens directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Uber. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or accuracy. Place ratings, photos and names belong to Google and the people who wrote them.
Video links you share belong to the platform they came from. MachiSpot stores the link and the place it found, never the video.
The app is provided as it is
MachiSpot is offered "as is". Travel times, routes and place information are estimates from third parties and can be wrong. Use your own judgement about where you go and how you get there, and follow the road rules. We are not liable for anything that happens on a trip you plan with the app.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you have paid us, which today is nothing.
Stopping
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account. We can close an account that breaks these terms. If the service shuts down, we will give notice in the app so you can save what matters to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will show it in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use MachiSpot after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
